How To Become An Arizona Real Estate Agent From Start To Finish

We’re glad you’re interested in getting your Arizona Real Estate Salesperson’s License with us! Here’s how you go from being on this web page to becoming a fully licensed Real Estate Agent!

Step #1:

You and 19 other pre-license students will be lead by a live instructor through all 90 hours of pre-license material. Due to the natural constraints of getting 20 people on the same schedule, we hold these classes Monday-Friday (excluding government observed holidays) from 9am-2pm in 4 week increments. While we can on a case by case basis let student’s join mid-course, we prefer to have everyone start on first Monday of the month. This means you’ll have the same class mates and instructor for all 4 weeks.

Step #2:

Pass your real estate salesperson school exam. This exam is administered by our instructors and required to be passed by ADRE. It mimics the official test and acts as a gauge to determine your readiness. Our school test is complimentary to students. Should you require a retest, our instructors will work with you to create a plan of action to give you the best chance of success!

Step #3:

Pass the Pearson Vue Salesperson Exam. This is the official exam and is divided into two parts for Arizona and National topics. You must pass both of these in order to move forward in the licensing process.

Step #4:

Your Arizona real estate license classes don’t end there! Once passing your exam, Arizona requires an additional 6-hour Contract Writing Course. This is to be taken by all future real estate agents. This single day class may be taken at any school (though we of course hope you’ll choose us!).It is not a pass/fail but only has an attendance requirement.

Step #5:

Before you “activate”your license, you must have a designated broker in Arizona that will allow you to work under their brokerage. This is an Arizona law and is commonly referred to as “hanging your license”. Simply put, all real estate agent salespersons must work for a broker. They cannot handle transactions legally without one.. Therefore, the state wants you to make this arrangement and prove it prior to becoming an active agent.

Step #6:

Finally, activate your license with the Arizona Department Of Real Estate!

There are certain requirements to become a real estate agent. Learn more on How To Be A Real Estate Agent in Arizona and follow the links to the state website for the latest changes and requirements. If you have any more questions on the licensing process, finding a broker to work for or anything about our school, please contact us and we’ll put an instructor in touch with you.
