Nevada Salesperson Continuing Education Requirements

First Renewal: 1 year after license issuance

  • Post-Licensing Education: 30 hours of modules A-O with proof of completion submitted to the Division.
  • Special Permits: Business Broker permit holders require 3 additional hours of CE; Property Managers need an extra 9 hours.
  • Alternative for First-Time Licensees: Those exempt from post-licensing education must complete 36 hours of CE, including 3 hours in Agency, 6 hours in Contracts, among other specified courses. At least 18 hours must be through live instruction.
    • Exemptions are governed in NAC 645.4442(2) which is mostly designed to exempt previously licensed real estate agents.

Subsequent Renewals: Every 2 years

  • Every two years, Salespersons must complete 36 hours of CE, covering specific core topics and 18 hours of General education, with at least 18 hours taken via live instruction.
