Arizona Broker Management Clinic Requirements

When & how the Broker Management Clinic changed

In 2013, the state of Arizona revamped the 3 hour Arizona Broker Management Clinic requirement by expanding the required time and material that new and existing brokers need to obtain. The new requirements are still in effect today. The original 3 hour BMC, was expanded to 9 hours. A check of the ADRE website shows that they now consider the BMC to be one big 9 hour course consisting of 3 separate content courses at 3 hours each.

How the 9 hour BMC is broken down

These 3 content courses are referred to as BMC 1, 2 & 3 respectively and while schools will give these courses titles such as “Broker’s Policies And Manual Explained”, the course titles must include the associated Arizona Broker Management Clinic number. The 3 BMCs must each have a specific focus:

BMC #1: Statutes And Rules

BMC #2: Broker Polices

BMC #3: Supervision

*All 3 courses full under the Commissioner’s Standards category, which is why Broker Continuing Education packages are usually only 30 hours (Commissioner’s Standards category is satisfied by the BMCs).
