Texas Real Estate Salesperson License Requirements
To become a salesperson in Texas, you must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework: Complete 180 hours of qualifying real estate courses, which includes:
- 60 hours in Principles of Real Estate.
- 30 hours in Law of Agency.
- 30 hours in Law of Contracts.
- 30 hours in Promulgated Contracts Forms.
- 30 hours in Real Estate Finance

- Complete Required Education: Finish the 180 hours of pre-license education from an approved provider.
- Submit Fingerprints: Complete a fingerprint background check.
