To become a salesperson in Pennsylvania, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Coursework: Complete 75 hours (5 credits) of basic real estate courses from an accredited college or an approved real estate education provider.

7 Steps to Obtain Your Real Estate License in Pennsylvania

  1. Complete Required Education: Finish the 75 hours of pre-license education in courses like Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice from an approved provider.
  2. Submit Application: Apply to take the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam through Pearson Vue.
  3. Pass the Exam: Schedule and pass both the state and national portions of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
  4. Submit Fingerprints: Complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check.
