How To Get Your Iowa Real Estate License Online From Start To Finish

Here’s how to get your real estate license in Iowa.

Step #1

Be 18 Years Of Age

The Iowa Department Of Real Estate requires agents to be at least 18 years of age.

Step #2

Complete 60 Hour Prelicense Course

Complete all 60 Hours of online instruction in Iowa real estate education.

Step #3

Complete The 3 Required Additional Courses At 12 Hours Each

(May be completed before, after or in conjunction with the 60 hour prelicense course)

Pass The State and National Portions Of The Salesperson Licensing Examination

Activate Your License With The Iowa Department Of Real Estate!

Your application must show that your education (96 hours) was completed within the previous 1 year and that your Final Exam is valid (valid until the last working day of the 6th month following the exam date). Iowa also requires that real estate agents carry E&O Insurance.
