Arizona Real Estate Brokers are in charge of the offices and firms. They are usually more advanced in knowledge and must have at least three years of experience in Real Estate before being able to become a “broker.” This Broker title allows you to be a Designated Broker who is in charge of the whole office and can hire or sever other agents. You would need or want this if you plan on being your own firm or managing a firm. An associate broker, is someone who can fill in for the designated broker, sign and review contracts and manage others in the brokerage but is not wholly responsible, and has passed the broker exam giving them a better title as well as clout in the industry with their knowledge. A self employed broker, is anyone who has passed their broker exams but does NOT plan on hiring any other agents on and will work as their own singular entity.
