Mile High. Yup, that’s where Denver lies, about a mile above sea level, but that’s not all that is High in Colorado! What about the skiing, what about the commission you can earn selling in Aspen, or Vail or Breckenridge!

Before you strap on those mile high dreams, you need to find your way to becoming a real estate broker in Colorado. First off, you need to brush up on 168 hours of licensing education. Once you pass the school’s exams, you need to sit for the Colorado State exams issued by PSI testing. Once you pass PSI, you can apply for your errors and omission (E&O) insurance and upon your passing of the exams, proof of insurance and of course, being 18 years of age when you officially apply, you are ready to submit your license to the State of Colorado for your own broker’s license!

Now there are some other ways to obtain your license, like having college credits but that is a unique possibility that you would want to contact the Colorado Division of Real Estate about.
